Note:
- You'll also need an appropriate motor fitment kit. Purchased separately.
-
Already using an iTroll or Trollmaster? Upgrading to Accutroll is seamless and leverages your existing servo setup. No need to purchase another motor fitment kit.
- The Gateway module connects to an open port on your existing NMEA2000 backbone. You may need add a micro-c tee adapter to your network if you don't have an available port.
- There must a compatible speed source connected to your NMEA2000 bus. This can be GPS speed from a chart plotter, auto pilot, or dedicated GPS sensor. Alternatively, an NMEA2000 compatible paddle wheel sensor (speed through water) can be used.
- For more flexibility with mounting locations, consider adding one of our 2 meter NMEA2000 drop cables to extend the cable length of the Gateway module.
- Don't have an existing NMEA2000 network on your vessel? No problem, we got you covered with our NMEA2000 starter kit bundle.
Bluetooth Remote Compatibility Note
Our Accutroll Bluetooth Remote is fully compatible with both Android and iOS devices via the Accutroll app (available on Google Play and the App Store).
For the smoothest, most reliable experience — especially in demanding on-the-water conditions — we recommend using an Android device. Android's Bluetooth implementation typically delivers:
- Superior range (often 2–3× farther in real-world use)
- More stable connections with fewer unexpected disconnects
On iOS, the remote functions correctly, but Apple's more aggressive Bluetooth Low Energy power management can result in reduced range and occasional disconnections if the phone is not kept in very close proximity (e.g., in a pocket). Keeping your iPhone close (within ~10 feet line-of-sight unobstructed, or in the users pocket) usually resolves this and provides a usable experience.
We're committed to transparency so you can choose the setup that works best for your fishing style. The core Accutroll system (throttle control, speed locking, etc.) performs identically regardless of phone platform. If you have questions about optimizing for your device, our support team is happy to help!
